SHOWERED WITH GIFTS

This Christmas was my baby daughters first one and a blessed one it was. I sat in the living room at my in laws house and i have to say i was a bit in shock to see how many gifts my daughter was getting and almost got emotional just watching one after the other be opened. I don't mean to get spiritual on ya but when you have a desire to walk hand in hand with God you can't help but see things in different light many times, so i have to say my mind kinda stopped for a sec and it was as if God said Now look at all the gifts your daughter has been showered with, don' t you know i love you so much and I want to shower you with many more gifts and blessings.. wow so i had to tell someone and i told my mother in law :) My in laws love Jalyse so much and i have to say God loves us SO MUCH. I went into this Christmas season kind of in a fog not really wanting gifts and all the glits that goes along with the season, but i wanted to be very careful of how i approached it this year around and didn't want to be materialistic about it. I wanted to blog about this illustration cause it effected me and hope someone else can see it in the same way. I love CHIRST's illustrations cause after all He is the greatest  illustrator to walk this earth and still is, and that is why i want to keep my spiritual eyes open daily through His creation. 

C3 CONFERENCE 2009

I am defenitely so stoked about going to the C3 Conference in Dallas, TX next year in February. I can't even wait and i hope my thinking and creativity will increase not only visually but spiritually through all the great men of God that will be speaking there.

WOW! I was able to witness snow quite often living in dallas a bit more north than Houston but seeing it fall down like it is tonight, i have to say its awesome!!!! I love it!! Football weather baby!

Wow talk about keeping it on the edge.. Kinda cool. These are the type of things that religious people will bash to the fullest but after being

under a leadership that is after the hearts of those that would never come to church or have different views about church. Now i know why some churches

are doing what they are doing and its to go after cold, heardened hearts and doing it aggresively. I love it!

Stage Design

I kind of have been losing sleep on creative ideas for our church and primarily for our new stage design for our 09yr But still working on it. It's going to be a great year!

This is Jalyse Jean (J.J.) and Joseph (Jojo) Martinez, we went to Dallas to visit friends and family and on our way there we stopped by ennis to visit one of my best friends in which i have been very close to and have done life with for over 21 years of my life, he and i went through kindergarden together and ended up graduating High School with one another. Till this day we do life together and i am so priveleged to have such a friend. Now we find our selves in the real world with real issues to deal with, good and bad. We each have a wife and first born baby with car and mortgage payments and again we are learning from each other at this stage of our lives. Things change in life but one thing we agree that remains constant is the LOVE of God, I could not have gotten myself where i am today on my own and all glory is His everything i own is His, my wife and child is His cause He created them, my talent, my creativity, my passion, my friends, family, job, ministry, hands, and feet are all His. I went off trail a bit but i guess what i'm trying to say is thank you God for the life you have chosen me to live here on earth, i want to live a honorable, faithful, and pleasing life for You.

so, everyday that seems to go by my respect level rises for existing parents and moreso the single parents. It has been a challenge waking up in the morning to feed a hungry infant. So this morning around 2:30 i woke up to feed my daughter and man was it hard to wake up but i did and we do cause the baby needs to be fed and i would punch anyman who has left their baby crying cause they were to lazy to feed the baby. Anyways, as i woke up to prepare the bottle, get the baby from its bassoneut, sit in the shair to feed her, throw the burp clothe over my shoulder, wrap her bib around her neck, and when i finally laid eyes on my baby to slide the bottle into her little mouth i was filled with joy and made me smile to see how beautiful she was. it immediately brought me back to think wow, this is why we do this and it shouldn't be a burden. God loves us so much and is always always there to hear our cry for more and when we are hungry he is there to feed us whether or not we deserve it but with that said, we do deserve it cause He sees us just as He sees Jesus Christ. I've never been this happy in my life time.

Vision

we had a staff metting yesterday about how we can grow and healthy church and keep the people in, it was tough but heavily needed discussion about where we are headed and how we wil get there.. i'm priveleged to say i play a huge role in this but it will take us as a team to get us there.. i didn't know where to begin doing my end of all this so i thought well what kind of disciple do we want our God's people to be and how will this thing take off, i asked myself.. so i began creating our s4 poster that all will see when they walk through the church doors.. if we have tons of S4's we can do this!! :)
